ETHNO-ORNITHOLOGY

Sikkim is a state which is full of various ethnic origins. All the tribe groups have bird nomenclature in their dictionary. Ethno-ornithology is a subject practice that states how the traditional knowledge about birds had been inherited. For example, the Lepchas have around 400 plus bird names in their spoken language and dictionary.
